The Toyota Aqua is one of the most stolen vehicles in New Zealand. It is an easy target as it does not come with an immobilizer, let alone an alarm. Aqua models with push-button start do come equipped with an immobilizer, but as most will know, ram raiders and thieves are not the most intelligent, and may still attempt to break into your vehicle.

We have worked hand in hand with Vodafone Automotive to utilize their SCD40 telematics system for the Aqua. This adds a number of layers of security to the Aqua and works with the existing Toyota remote key.

Primarily the SCD40 is a GPS Telematics system, but it can also work as an alarm system. The Aqua is the first car to get specific firmware developed to work as a stand-alone alarm. 

This is a system specifically designed to protect your vehicle with an immobilizer, alarm, and discouraging LED to keep opportunistic rascals away from your car.
